There are so many more resources now but also far fewer brick and mortar hobby stores. I've been trying to buy my supplies locally as much as possible but the nearest decent hobby shop is 25 miles away, and I live just outside of a large city. Growing up there were at least three I could ride my bike to. Used railroad ballast for the non skid surface. Now I see Modulation, filters, acrylic paint tubes and who in the holy hell came up with hairspray chipping? Photo etch wing nuts as small as a flea. I got a kit, a few tools and am looking to get back into it Cliffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05168326466291475101noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7226049135660032151.post-44490171256224664682017-09-25T22:22:40.677+10:002017-09-25T22:22:40.677+10:00Hi Dave. I think the last model I built was a Churchill (I really failed with that one) so another tank will be fun. I think I will try to make it look like its been in a firefight and just barely made it out one piece.

//Fredrik

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7226049135660032151.post-43964224587144740382017-09-25T09:51:02.418+10:002017-09-25T09:51:02.418+10:00Hi Dingo Dave, that is a long, long absence mate! ...Hi Dingo Dave, that is a long, long absence mate! It would be fun to build a model again since it was so long ago since my last one. I started to watch videos on youtube about model building and found "Daves model workshop" which I found very inspiring. Your videos makes all these fancy techniques look so easy which I Think is fantastic. So I started with building a new workbench and getting all colours and stuff i might need. As soon Im done rebuilding my house I will start with a new model kit. Cant wait! It Will be nice to have a hobby again besides the house. The winters "Up over" (sweden) are long, dark and cold so thanks Dave for the superb inspiration!

Best regards!
Fredrik (happy new subscriber)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7226049135660032151.post-63272862477822574362017-09-24T18:03:01.115+10:002017-09-24T18:03:01.115+10:00I have a similar story.
