Exclusive video for MOD Squad members - a behind-the-scenes tour of Dave's Model Workshop

I've just released a special behind-the-scenes video touring my workshop area, which is going to be released exclusively for members of The MOD Squad, my supporters on Patreon. So aside from getting a 10% discount at a number of hobby suppliers, you also get some content that will never be released to the general public.

There's no link or embedded video today - the link is only visible to supporters on my Patreon page.

If you're already a member - this is one more small way to say thank you for your support. It helps me to build Dave's Model Workshop into something greater.

If you're not already a member - please consider it. For 3 bucks a month you get a lot of benefits. Here's my Patreon page if you want to check it out in more detail. I want this to be a two way street, if you support me you get tangible benefits in return. Seems only fair to me.

Some Australians in the audience may get the below reference, but for the rest of you: Go on, do yourself a favour. Join The MOD Squad.

Two new retailers offering discounts to MOD Squad members

I released a video this week announcing two new retailers who have come on board offering 10% off to MOD Squad members. Both SJS Hobbies and SprayGunner are now part of our members-only-discounts program.

It's good to have them on board- check them out and see if there's anything there you need.

SJS Hobbies range can be found here.
SprayGunner's website is here.

New retailers for the 10% discount program.

I'm always looking to add extra value for your membership. So, as always, if there are any retailers you'd like to see become part of this program, please get in touch and I'll see what I can arrange.

New 10% Discount retailer for The MOD Squad members - SJS Hobbies

Good news! I've got a new retailer on board for my members-only discounts programme, The MOD Squad! SJS Hobbies is an Australian ebay retailer who specialises in model kits, hobby supplies and model upgrades, and they have agreed to offer 10% off to all MOD Squad members.

Woo hoo!

If you haven't considered The MOD Squad yet, it's a good time to check it out. For a modest monthly contribution you receive 10% off normal prices at a growing range of scale model specialist retailers. Basically, if you spend more than $30 a month on modelling then you come out ahead, plus you get to support Dave's Model Workshop in the process. Win/win!

If you are already a member, then check out my Patreon page where you will find a special members-only post which contains a link to the ongoing 10% off prices at SJS Hobbies. I hope you find some good stuff there!

If there are any other retailers you'd like to see become part of the 10% off programme, please let me know and I'll approach them. I'm all about bringing some value to you guys, the more the better :)

Cheers,

Dave

MOD Squad update - Metro Hobbies in Australia is now offering 10% discount

Great news for my Australian community - Metro Hobbies has agreed to join The MOD Squad program for a limited time! From tonight until midnight 14 May 2018, MOD Squad members will receive 10% OFF all online orders of model kits and hobby supplies from www.metrohobbies.com.au - plus you will receive free shipping within Australia if your order is $99 or more before the discount is applied at checkout. Brilliant!

Metro Hobbies is my preferred hobby retailer here in Melbourne. I've mentioned them many times before. I trust them, and they know their stuff inside out, so I'm really excited to have them as part of The MOD Squad.

And of course the discount will be available to all existing members of The MOD Squad.

It's for a limited time only, so join up today - visit my Patreon page to join The MOD Squad and see all the benefits you'll receive. You'll also receive the discount code once you've signed up.

If there is a retailer in your country you'd like to see join the program, do please let me know - I'm not an expert on the scale model scene in the US, or the UK, or Europe, and I'd love to know what other retailers you guys would like on board. I'm continually negotiating to bring more value to my supporters - it's my small way of genuinely saying "thank you" for supporting Dave's Model Workshop.

MOD Squad update - Hobbyco Australia is now included as a 10% OFF retailer

My Australian audience may have felt a little left out when I announced The MOD Squad earlier this week - we had a US retailer and a UK retailer, but none from Australia. The great news is that I have been in negotiations with Hobbyco here in Australia, and they are now on board with my members discounts program! 10% off at Hobbyco, either in store or online!

Hobbyco - now an Australian retailer in The MOD Squad

Exclusive Hobbyco benefits for MOD Squad members

So if you sign up via my Patreon page, all MOD Squad members will receive a free Hobbyco Club Membership, which offers the following benefits from Hobbyco:

• 10% OFF either in store or online at www.hobbyco.com.au
• Postage fixed at $8.50 on all orders within Australia (some exclusions apply, see here for details).
• More about Hobbyco Club benefits here.

When you sign up as a MOD Squad member, you will receive a special link where you can also sign up as a Hobbyco Club Member (you must use the same email address for both memberships). A digital Hobbyco membership card with a unique number will then be emailled to you within 2 business days - this can be used immediately upon receipt. Your Hobbyco Club membership will be valid for as long as you continue paying your MOD Squad membership on Patreon.

How to use your free Hobbyco Club Membership

Online purchases: Login to www.hobbyco.com.au using the email address affiliated with your membership card. The 10% discount will apply upon checkout.

In store shopping: Simply show the digital card at the counter to receive your discount.

More to come!

I'm in ongoing discussions with hobby retailers to continue bringing extra value to MOD Squad members. The more value I can bring you for your 3 bucks a month, the happier I'll be!

If you have any questions, please get in touch. Otherwise, I look forward to bringing you more member benefits as they come in.

Now, time to add to that model kit stash... ;)

Cheers,

Dave
